Rapids Camp Sagana – Kenya’s Premier Whitewater Rafting Destination
Rapids Camp Sagana is Kenya’s premier whitewater rafting destination, with over two decades of experience in adventure tourism. The facility offers a wide range of water sports and adventure activities, including whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, water plunging, bungee jumping, zip-lining, and Geco, among other experiences. All activities are conducted under the supervision of highly trained professional river guides who are committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.
During the recently concluded Rafting World Cup Series 2026, Rapids Camp Sagana successfully hosted the prestigious international event and deployed more than 20 professionally trained river guides who played a critical role in ensuring its success.
To further enhance the skills and certification of its river guides, the Kenya Rafting Federation collaborated with instructors and assessors from United Rafting, including Iranian expert Kianoosh Meghreb. The initiative strengthened qualification standards and enhanced safety preparedness ahead of the World Cup Series.
The dedicated and professionally trained river guides demonstrated exceptional commitment, spending countless hours on the river to safeguard athletes and officials throughout the competition. Their expertise ensured the event remained adventurous, thrilling, and unforgettable while maintaining world-class safety standards, with no major safety incidents reported.
The Rafting World Cup Series 2026 attracted participants from 35 countries, with 18 countries fielding 61 teams that competed in the Sprint, RX (Raft Cross), and Slalom events from 10–12 July 2026.
