Rapids Camp Sagana has long been renowned for its existing Hospitality services, key among them thrilling, adrenaline-filled whitewater adventures confined on the majestic river Tana, in Sagana, which is incidentally shared by Kirinyaga and Murang’a counties.
Rapids Camp is now expanding it’s services to the Coastal region through its newly introduced subsidiary OCEAN RAPIDS.

Ocean Rapids is based in Nyali, Mombasa, ostensibly to provide services that include quality life-jacket hire, professional water-safety and guided support. Oceans Rapids niche and target market will be schools, academic institutions, and corporate groups, families and holiday makers along the Kenyan Coast.
Mombasa will be Ocean Rapids launch pad and entry point into the high potential Water activities  Coastal region has to offer, this will enable subsequent development of a wider operational footprint, reaching  areas like Watamu, Malindi, and Diani, as its projected operational ability continues to grow with time.
Leveraging on the vast experience, dynamic strength, Network and structures of  Rapids camp in the Hospitality sector. The Coastal off- shot Ocean Rapids will be taking client bookings from individual, groups and even family from all areas within and without the coast, both nationally and international. With a seamless arranged transport services on standby at all ports of entry, Airport, Bus terminus, SGR station and the Dock to enable faster, reliable, and efficient mobility for its clients.

Ocean Rapids will tap and build on Rapids Camp’s vast existing outdoor-safety experience and operational standards to the Coast that will enable Implementation and execution of Safety before activity,Quality and properly maintained equipment and Professional guidance and responsible operation.
Having identified a huge a gap and need in safety  equipment availability in the costal market, Ocean Rapids Camp looks Life -Jacket Hire business component by providing, maintaining, clean, regularly Inspect  and store  a stock of quality life jackets indifferent body sizes and weight suitable for: Children, Teenagers, Adults, Institutional/group requirements Over the years Rapids Camp has operated on “Safety First” as guiding Principle by ensuring  provision of quality, properly maintained Equipment ,life jackets and trained personnel to support safe water-based activities.
Rapids Camp Sagana is also a training facility for all water sports and emergency preparedness courses, and the recent signing of a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Murang’a University to incorporate water sports into the university curriculum goes to show our commitment, consistency and experience in matters of water activities and safety.

Our Safety Personnel and Guide at Ocean Rapids Camp are Highly trained to provide support activities such as: pre-activity safety briefing, Correct fitting of life jackets, Basic water-safety instructions, Activity supervision within their assigned responsibility, and identification of potential hazards, all in line with laid-down international standards. This was demonstrated by successfully handling the just-concluded 2026 Rafting World cup series.
The Safety Personnel and Guides are appropriately trained and certified, with relevant and reputable International bodies like United Rafting and the International Canoe federation.
